A HUGE congratulations to Katherine Lutterloh for being named Guilford County Schools Assistant Principal of the Year!
Congratulations as well to Zenaida Flores for being named Guilford County Schools Social Worker of the Year, and to Hector Gómez for finishing in the Top Five among all Guilford County Schools Assistant Principals!
And those three aren’t the only ones who represented High Point Central extremely well—several of our staff members performed at an exceptionally high level throughout the selection process.

Your student received their Quarter 1 Interim Report during 2nd Block on Tuesday for ALL classes this past week. Please take a moment to ask your student to share their interim reports with you and discuss their progress in each class if they haven’t done so already. This is a great opportunity to celebrate successes, identify areas for improvement, and make a plan for continued success during the remainder of the quarter.

The Girls in Gear event at the GTCC Center for Advanced Manufacturing will give students an opportunity to explore high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing, skilled trades, information technology, HVAC-R, and more.
Applications for Governor’s School are open for 10th and 11th graders.
The North Carolina Governor’s School is a four-week summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses on the campus of Greensboro College. Learning focuses on the exploration of the most recent ideas and concepts in each discipline, and it does not involve credit, tests, or grades. Students are selected to attend through a competitive process after being nominated by their public school.
All interested students should see Mr. Hochreiter in the counseling office.
