Principal’s Bison Bulletin for January 12

Good evening!  This is Principal Hettenbach from High Point Central High School with a message from the Boulevard.

We start exams on Wednesday and Thursday with GCS Final Exams and Teacher made exams. We then transition into state state exams starting on Friday and lasting through the week of January 19th! Pease be sure you know your student’s exam schedule as listed within this blog as the order or times of classes slightly differ on these days.

Students who are in EOC classes such as Math 1, Math 3, Biology and English 10 have extra tutoring opportunities and these are listed below.

There are no early dismissals while any testing is in session starting on Friday. Once the school is complete with all testing, we will then allow students to be dismissed from the campus as long as they have permission slips turned in showing that the student’s parent or guardian is aware they are leaving prior to 4:15. Any students who stay on campus will be in the auditorium until the 4:15 dismissal. Those slips can be found in the front office starting as early as Tuesday.

The electronics law is in effect as of January 1st.

Seniors and Early Grads should have ordered their caps and gowns. Please contact the front office at school with any questions if you have not and are unsure what to do.

I challenge everyone to be involved in their student’s academic progress. Please take a moment to create a Parent Assist account through Infinite Campus to monitor daily progress of your student.

Here is helpful information to assist all parents in getting a campus parent account. Here is another way as well. If you are still experiencing difficulty, please call the school. You can also download their app on an Iphone, IPad or Droid that looks like:

The Learning Hub is in session on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:00. The program offers flexible opportunities for students to receive academic and social-emotional supports, tutoring, and enrichment outside regular school hours. Learning Hubs will take place in the Media Center. • Students need to bring their ID cards • Transportation and food provided.

Parents/Guardians, as a gentle reminder, in order for a student to be checked out, he or she MUST be in Infinite Campus under contacts to do so. They also must have a valid ID. This is for the safety of your student. If you find an error, let’s work together to fix that issue so everything can run safely and smoothly.
