Principal’s Bison Bulletin for November 24

Good evening!  This is Principal Hettenbach from High Point Central High School with a message from the Boulevard.

This is a short week ahead with school only on Monday and Tuesday. Everyone at High Point Central wishes you an enjoyable and restful break ahead and we look forward to seeing you On December 1st.

I challenge everyone to be involved in their student’s academic progress. Please take a moment to create a Parent Assist account through Infinite Campus to monitor daily progress of your student.

This past Thursday, Seniors, early grads and 3 years grads started their orders for caps and gowns. As shared with the students, Herff Jones’ prices will only rise as the year goes on, so it is important to secure your cap and gown for the lowest price possible.

A new tradition where we ask the teachers to pick one student to recognize for character awards for the quarter! This is so hard as we have so many students that truly should be recognized. Here are the 1st quarter winners! Some were even selected twice! Great job to everyone!

The Learning Hub is now in session on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:00. The program offers flexible opportunities for students to receive academic and social-emotional supports, tutoring, and enrichment outside regular school hours. Learning Hubs will take place in the Media Center. • Students need to bring their ID cards • Transportation and food provided.

Parents/Guardians, as a gentle reminder, in order for a student to be checked out, he or she MUST be in Infinite Campus under contacts to do so. They also must have a valid ID. This is for the safety of your student. If you find an error, let’s work together to fix that issue so everything can run safely and smoothly.
