Good evening! This is Principal Hettenbach from High Point Central High School with a message from the Boulevard.
This is a big week! Tuesday night, we have our 2nd quarter Gathering of the Herd! We will have our Fall Festival from 5:30 to 7:30, Haunted trail, Chorus and Orchestra concert, and more!!!

This Tuesday, October 28th, we will be hosting realtors and community members on campus. If you know any realtors in the area, feel free to invite them out. Our magnet programs (IB & JROTC) are open to any family in High Point. The link to register is below.
We will have lots of stakeholders in the building that day and night, so get ready!

This coming THURSDAY is the Andrews vs High Point Central game – Game time is 7PM. High Point Central is the home team. All HP Central fans and students enter and park on the home side. Andrews fans and students enter on the HP Sports complex side. Remember our clear bag policy as referenced below.

This weekend we adjust our clocks backwards by one hour and gain that wonderful extra hour of rest. Please do not forget to change those clocks back this coming weekend!

The Learning Hub is now in session on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:00. The program offers flexible opportunities for students to receive academic and social-emotional supports, tutoring, and enrichment outside regular school hours. Learning Hubs will take place in the Media Center. • Students need to bring their ID cards • Transportation and food provided.

10th grade students will be taking the Pre-ACT on Wednesday, November 5th and should arrive on time to school, no later than 9:10, to be seated at their testing site before the test start time. They should bring a charged GCS Chromebook. Students may be checked out by parents when the entire test session is over. No student will be checked out until all testing sessions are closed.
Students in 9th, 11th and 12th grade will have an asynchronous day, with at-home assignments on November 5th. Students must log in to CANVAS, complete and submit assignments to be counted present for the day. Seniors may use the day for a college visit or service-learning experience, and they must bring verification upon return to school.

Here is helpful information to assist all parents in getting a campus parent account. Here is another way as well. If you are still experiencing difficulty, please call the school. You can also download their app on an Iphone, IPad or Droid that looks like:

Parents/Guardians, as a gentle reminder, in order for a student to be checked out, he or she MUST be in Infinite Campus under contacts to do so. They also must have a valid ID. This is for the safety of your student. If you find an error, let’s work together to fix that issue so everything can run safely and smoothly.

Please link your Harris Teeter Vic card to High Point Central. Our number is 1084. LINKS= Dollars for HPC! The higher the link count the higher the earnings for HPC. You can link your card in the store by asking customer service or go to https://buff.ly/3OQ7V1w.
