Principal’s Bison Bulletin for August 25, first day of school

Good evening!  This is Principal Hettenbach from High Point Central High School with a message from the Boulevard. Tomorrow is the first day of school at High Point Central High School. The day starts at 9:15 and ends at 4:15. Students should be inside the building no later than 9:10 in order to get to class on time.

This week, days 1-3, M-W, counselors will be focused on students who does not have a schedule, have blocks without a class, or if they are in a class that has already been taken or out of sequence. Days 4 and 5 will be focused on student schedule change requests. These forms can be found in the front office. Thank you for your patience as counselors navigate through this week taking care of all items related to scheduling. As a reminder, if you are new to our school, we send an all call message in English every Sunday during the school year at 6:30, followed by Spanish at 7:00. If you do not want to listen to one of the two messages, a simple hang up will be sufficient. These messages will also be sent to your cell phone as a text link as well as to your e-mail address you may have on file. If you do not receive these messages on those platforms but wish to do so, please let us know. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the school for any reason. Please read through this blog as there is simple but very important information related to dress expectations, cell phone policy, athletic clear bag policy, joining the PTO aka The Herd, important upcoming dates, and much more more.

Parents/Guardians, as a gentle reminder, in order for a student to be checked out, he or she MUST be in Infinite Campus under contacts to do so. They also must have a valid ID.

Any student who is still interested in playing Fall Athletics must reach out to Athletic Director Craig Repko to see if that sport is still accepting participants.
