Our countdown is on. 158 days down. While we have begun assessing students in the areas of AP and IB, we have only 15 days left until underclass local and state exams during the last 7 days. Learning Hubs are offered Tuesday and Thursday from 4:15 until 6 each week. Please help us with making sure your student is on time and ready to work each and every one of these remaining days.
Do you have any prom dresses you would like to donate to our school to assist some of our young females for the prom? If so, please bring them to the school.

Seniors and early grads – if you haven’t ordered your cap and gown, you must do so immediately. It typically takes 30 days to be delivered, and you would still have to pick it up at Herff Jones office. On Monday, we will be exactly one month away from Graduation day.

The Learning Hub offers flexible opportunities for students to receive academic and social-emotional supports, tutoring, and enrichment outside regular school hours. Learning Hub will occur on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon (4:30PM – 6PM ). In the Media Center. • Students need to bring their ID cards • Transportation and food provided.
Any students who receive OSS will not be able to attend any extracurricular events through the winter season. Students who receive ISS(RS) will not be able to attend any events for that week. Additional ISS incidents will result in loss of privileges for the winter season.

This is a testament to the passion and perseverance of our amazing staff, the students that work hard, use resources in front of them and set high goals. The Technology and Data Institute (TDI) in partnership with Guilford County Schools (GCS) and Lumos is offering a FREE pilot service for the next 2+ years to connect eligible students to digital classroom tools while at home, riding the school bus, and within the community. Eligible students must attend one of four schools – Fairview Elementary, Penn-Griffin School for the Arts, Ferndale Middle School, or High Point Central – and reside in a neighborhood served by Lumos Fiber. The pilot program will provide free service through June 2026 and then will seek to secure federal or state funding to continue the program beyond that date.
