Principal’s Bison Bulletin – Week of May 13th

We now have 12 full instructional days before we start exams. That is correct, only 12 days. Just a little more than 2 weeks. Please help us by monitoring your students’ grades, attendance and reminding them to make wise choices.

Below is our end of year exam schedule for all students. Please call your teacher if you have any additional questions.

Seniors, if you have not received your cap and gown you must order directly from Herff Jones. The contact information can be found within the Graduation timeline below.

We offer specific tutoring for the upcoming state exams in Biology, English 10, Math 1 and Math 3, even on Saturdays! Please reach out to your student’s teacher for more information.

The registration window for transportation is now open. If your address has changed, you are new to the district, or you have enrolled in a new school, you’re encouraged to register as soon as possible to ensure your student has transportation on the first day of school. The deadline to register is May 31. The transportation department will host several in-person registration events at high schools across the district. You can find more information on those dates and other important transportation updates on our website at http://www.gcsnc.com/transportation.

Prom is this coming Saturday, May 18th at 12 West Main in Thomasville. Any student who has one or more OSS or 2 or more ISS this semester will not be able to attend. Early graduates must receive permission from Mr. Hettenbach in order to attend the prom. The student simply needs to e-mail or call and we can set up a quick conversation.

If you are interested in participating in football this year the Bison football team will have Spring Practice starting May 6th at 4:30. If you did not play last year, please see Coach Doak for a schedule and details for practice. Everyone will need an up to date physical to participate.

Happy Friday!  Would you please announce, post and advertise the following:
