Principal’s Bison Bulletin – Week of February 12th

As we enter the middle of February, this coming Tuesday, February 13th, is the first interim report for the 3rd quarter. Please help us by monitoring your student’s grades and attendance.

A week from Monday, we celebrate Black History Month with spirit week!

Guilford Technical Community College will present an information session about its Career and College Promise Program for high school students. Students and parents are invited to attend one of the free, hour-long events.

Seniors and parents are invited to attend a presentation on how you can attend GTCC after graduation for free.

Koury Hospitality Careers Center Auditorium, Jamestown Campus 621 E. Main Street, Jamestown, NC No reservations required. Snacks will be provided. This will include a Financial Aid presentation and information on the Access Amazing Scholarship for Guilford County students.

Great job to all the 9th graders who qualified for the incentive trip this Friday to Spare Time Bowling Alley. These students had Cs and above, no disciplinary infractions and strong attendance for the 2nd quarter! Great job!

Congratulations to Aubrey Evans for winning 1 of the 15 Spectrum News High School Scholars Program Scholarship. See Aubrey’s news segment airing on Spectrum News 1 this week or visit the Spectrum News 1 Website or the HPC Website. And an additional congratulations to Aubrey for being named a GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Semifinalist.

The NWEA, ACT and Financial Literacy will all be packed on this coming Wednesday. All students should be in attendance so they don’t have to make up what they are assigned to.

Juniors, listen up! ACT Prep sessions have begun for English and Math. High Point Central is offering sessions every day in the week, both before and after school. Please check the times that sessions are available via the posters in the hall, through Canvas, or by seeing Mrs. C Stafford.

Voorhees University will be visiting our campus on February 13th. If you are interested and would like to sign up, please speak with Mr. Harper for more details

SECU “People Helping People” 10,000 Scholarship Application is due February 16 to Ms. Lindsay. Please see our Counselor, if you need assistance with your application.
