First and foremost, HAPPY NEW YEAR! High Point Central wishes you each a very safe, healthy, and successful 2024!
As we return to school fully tomorrow, Wednesday, we only have 7 days until the week of testing.
These 7 days are vital in finishing up the first semester as successful as possible. Final exam grades are heavily weighted so it is our expectation for all students to finish strong, be in school every day, be attentive in classes and be present on all exam days.
How can parents and guardians assist us? Check PowerSchool for your student’s grades. Ask them when their exam schedule is and make sure they are getting good nights of rest. Non state exams will be on Wednesday and Thursday, January 10th and 11th. These are full days of school. Friday, January 12th through Friday, January 19th are state exams. There will be a detailed schedule of exams forthcoming on all HPC social media outlets as well as in next weekend’s blog.

We have only two more EOC exam prep sessions. This coming Saturday, January 6th and the following Saturday, January 13th from 10AM to 1PM in the media center. This is for Math1, Math3, Biology and English 10. This exam weight is a large portion of the overall grade at 20%. Please e-mail your student’s teacher if more information is needed.

Only 3 more Learning Hub session before the end of the first semester. Come get a hot meal, work on your grades, prepare for exams, all in a quiet setting from 4:30 to 6pm, Tuesday and Thursday in the Media Center.
Students need to bring their ID cards
No Cell phones allowed. Students must turn their cell phone in. They will be visible but locked in a safety locker.
Transportation has started along with the hot meals!

We are offering a photography class in the Spring. Learn how to use film photography. Please let your counselor know if you are interested before this coming Friday, January 5th so we can work on finalizing the 2nd semester matrix.

All Alumni are welcome to come watch our Bison take on the NE Rams!
