We now have only 9 days until the December break followed by 7 days until the week of testing.
It is imperative that students are making the most of these last few weeks in getting their grades up as high as possible. State exam core classes (Math 1, Math 3, Biology, English 10) which have final exam grades that count for 20% have exam prep sessions on Saturdays with food being served. Please e-mail your student’s teacher if more information is needed.

The deadline for juniors and seniors to apply for High Point Central’s National Honor Society chapter is 4 p.m., Friday, December 15. This will be the only application window for this school year. To apply, you must have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.3 and have a record of leadership and service. Dues are $25. The application can be found on Canvas or on the school’s Web site and social media platforms. You must be signed in with your GCS username to submit your application. See Mr. Hayes with any questions.

GIVE BLOOD, GIVE LOVE! Be the reason for someone’s heartbeat! High Point Central High School will have a blood donation drive on December 15th, 2023 , 10:00am-3:00pm. All donors will receive refreshments, a OneBlood blanket and a wellness checkup. You must be at least 16 years of age to donate with parental consent. Persons who are over the age of 18 years old do not need permission. Staff and Admin are welcome to donate as well. You may use the link and QR Code to sign up for an appointment in advance. SGA will be hosting a Multi-Cultural Fair afterschool, February 5th. We would love to feature all cultures within our school. The Learning Hub is now in session
The program offers flexible opportunities for students to receive academic and social-emotional supports, tutoring, and enrichment outside regular school hours.
Learning Hub will occur on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon (4:30PM – 6PM ). In the Media Center.
Students need to bring their ID cards
No Cell phones allowed. Students must turn their cell phone in. They will be visible but locked in a safety locker.
Transportation has started along with the hot meals!
