For decades, Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership, HOBY has worked diligently at helping young people make a difference and become positive catalysts for change in the home, school workplace, and community. As one of the nation’s foremost youth leadership development organizations, HOBY is recognized on college entrance applications. HOBY is the nation’s only program exclusively designed for high school sophomores. All sophomores are eligible to be selected to attend the three- and four-day leadership seminars held in every state each spring, but only one student will attend from each high school. HOBY’s core values consist of volunteerism, excellence, organizational integrity, diversity, innovative thinking, community partnerships, lifelong learning and leadership. If you are a sophomore who displays these attributes and have these values, and you would like to be considered for HPC’s school nominee please email Mrs. Evans your name by Thursday, October 18th. You will be invited to an information session from a former HOBY Alum.
