Principal’s Bison Bulletin for August 21

One more week! We have VERY important dates coming up.

This Tuesday from 6-8 is Open House. This is a time to get schedules, New One Cards, Athletic coaches/Athletic Director, athletics season passes, visit your classrooms/ teachers, Communities in Schools, information on how to pay for your parking sport as well as paint it, Career Technical Education, join the PTO, food trucks on site, transportation, clubs, update contact information, and more!

Friday, 8:30am -12:30, Freshmen Orientation! All freshmen should attend! This event will be followed by a carnival for all 9th graders who attend. Lunch will be provided along with a complimentary shirt. This orientation is for students only! Students will be acclimated to the operations and expectations of High Point Central in order to ease anyone’s anxieties and best prepare him/her for a successful start to their High School Career.

This coming Saturday from 9-2, we have beautification day on our campus. Bring a leaf blower, gloves, pressure washer, etc to assist us. You do not have to be there the whole time. Students can get service-learning credit. The sign up link is in SGA Instagram Bio.

Any students who have interest in still participating on the football team, please e-mail Coach Doak immediately at doakc@gcsnc.com.

For those of you who are new to High Point Central, you will receive a weekly blog every Sunday night at 6:30 PM, followed by a 7:00PM translated version in Spanish. We will also send the links to this message in text and E-mail. If you do not receive those links, please e-mail our Data Manager, Tracy Hamlin, at hamlint@gcsnc.com. If you happen to delete any of your blogs received and want to review them, you can go to the High Point Central website and find the icon in the middle of the homepage that says Principal’s Bison Bulletin. We will send occasional messages during the week, and of course, if your student is absent one or more blocks in a day, you will be notified as well.

1st day of school, Monday, August 28th.
