Principal’s Bison Bulletin for June 5

Here we are, the very last week of school for the year before we head into Summer School. There is a lot of information within the blog, so please take a moment and read through it thoroughly.

We are conducting state exams this week. As you can see within the test schedule above, we look forward to seeing 1st block state test takers on Monday, 2nd block state exam test takers on Tuesday, and so on. If you have any questions, please call the school. Any student who shows up to take their state test on the assigned day will get a ticket for a slushy thereafter.

The senior awards/Capping Ceremony will be held on June 6 at 9:30AM.  Seniors will line up in the auxiliary gym wearing their caps and gowns beginning at 8:45.  Parents and invited guest may proceed to the auditorium upon arrival.

Graduates, we now head into our last week to prepare for Graduation. Please review the timeline below.

June 20 – Summer Learning begins for students who did not pass a course during the 22-23 school year.  Please speak with your counselor if you have any questions concerning a failed course

July 27 – Summer Learning end date

Open House for the 23-24 School year is Tuesday, August 22nd. Please mark your calendars.

Freshman Orientation is Friday, August 25th from 8:30-12:30 followed by a carnival thereafter.

High Point Central is looking for feedback from all stakeholders exploring a transition from Block scheduling to Traditional scheduling for the 24-25 school year.
