I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend as best possible. As we reflect during this weekend, High Point Central would like to remind you to honor and mourn the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United Sates Armed Forces. We are grateful for their service.

High Point Central, we return to school on Tuesday and only have 2 days left before testing starts on Thursday. My challenges after you read this blog are to review your student’s current grades with them. If you have questions or concerns, contact the teacher immediately. If your student has low grades, ask them what their plan is to recover these grades. If no one is sure how to bring those grades up, contact the teacher or the grade level administrator to find out what resources we have to assist them. This Tuesday and Wednesday are the last days for the Learning Hub. Please take advantage of them.

Seniors and Parents/Guardians, we had an amazing turnout for the cap and gown pick up and walks at Shadybrook, Northwood, and Oak Hill. We now have our first Graduation practice here at High Point Central in the auditorium at 10:45. You must be here at 10:30 so we can start on time. A gentle reminder that your are required to attend the graduation practices in order to walk at Graduation. The updated full timeline is below. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Stafford in the front office.

Please review the testing calendar below. It is imperative that all students show up on their testing dates. We will have a slushy truck for each state testing day the week of June 5-June 9 to share our appreciation for their hard work on each day.

High Point Central is happy to announce that next school year, we will open the High Point Central Global Leadership Academy; this academy will provide language learning and a career path to our students in Language acquisition, this is a partnership between GCSNC and UNCG. You are invited to participate in our launching event on Tuesday, April 18th at 6:00 PM in the media Center.

Seniors with a GPA of 2.8 or higher, interested in Advance Manufacturing, please see Mr. Lowe in room 221C for more details about this great opportunity.

High Point Central is looking for feedback from all stakeholders exploring a transition from Block scheduling to Traditional scheduling for the 24-25 school year. You can use this FORM to provide any feedback. We will share information related to questions and concerns within our blog moving forward.
