Bison Bulletin as we head into the December break

This is Mr. Hettenbach with a simple greeting from the Boulevard.

I hope each and everyone of you take some time to rest, relax and spend valuable time with those you love during this break. Students return on Wednesday, January 4th. At that time, we only have 11 school days left until state exams. These remaining days do not include local exams, teacher made exams, interim assessments, review days, and more. I challenge many of you to spend just a little time over the break making up work, filling out the FAFSA, scholarships, and more. Our last interim report was shared this past Thursday electronically. If you are not getting information through PowerSchool, I have enclosed visuals within my blog to assist you. If you still have a difficult time, please do not hesitate to call the school. We are here to help.

Congratulations to PTO President Cece Biesecker for winning the Fall Semester “Take the Bison by the Horns Award”. This award is presented to someone who is demonstrating persistence in making High Point Central a better place to learn, work, and visit. Thank you Ms. Biesecker!

We had a great week celebrating spirit week! Thank you to Ms. Wanichko and the SGA for leading the charge and providing traditional High School experiences to our students!

This week we held a ceremony for our Class of 2021 and 2022 IB students. I applaud each and everyone of you! Great job and keep up the amazing work!

We are also still in need of volunteers for our Adopt-A-Room.    Help us create a partnership between you and a staff member at HPC. This is not a huge time or financial commitment, but an opportunity to help staff spruce up their room.  We will put you directly in contact with a staff member to communicate and build a partnership. Are you not too sure how you can help? Simply e-mail our PTO president at cecewas@aol.com.

Do you want to be in the know of your student’s attendance and academics at all times? Get a PowerSchool app downloaded, create an account and more!

We continue to grow our Learning Hub. This is a wonderful opportunity to get some quiet time working on your academics, making up assignments, getting assistance from the adults who are helping. A reminder that it is every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30-6:00. The attendance continues to climb and that is a clear sign that we have so many students who understand we have supports in place right here on campus when in need.

Are you interested in purchasing a senior ad?
