Bison Bulletin for the week of December 12

This is Mr. Hettenbach with a simple greeting from the Boulevard.

We have 5 days of school before the December break, followed by 11 days before the first semester state exams start. As you can realize, we do not have much time left at all. Our last interim report comes out this coming Thursday before the final report grades get published. At this time, I am asking all students, parents and guardians to monitor daily attendance and academics. If you are unsure how to do this on a daily basis, please do not hesitate to call the school for help. We can empower you to be in the know.

We will not have our monthly PTO meeting tomorrow night due to the Annual Department Gingerbread House Decorating Contest on Tuesday, December 12.  Please join us at 4:30 pm on Tuesday in the HPC Cafeteria to cheer on each HPC Department as they compete to design the best gingerbread house.  We will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.  If you have some extra time to come at 4:00 to set-up or afterwards to help clean up that would be great.

We are also still in need of volunteers for our Adopt-A-Room.  We currently have 21 partners and need 29 more!  Help us create a partnership between you and a staff member at HPC. This is not a big time or financial commitment, but an opportunity to help staff spruce up their room.  We will put you directly in contact with a staff member to communicate and build a partnership. Please reply to this email if you would like to Adopt-A-Room.

Have a wonderful week and thank you for “Backing the Herd!”

A shout out to all the students who have taken advantage of the Learning Hubs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The attendance continues to climb and that is a clear sign that we have so many students who understand we have supports in place right here on campus when in need.

Are you aware that the average graduation rate of students who attended the learning hub is over 96%? Take advantage of all the services the Learning Hub can provide. Every Tuesday and Thursday, the Learning hub offers flexible opportunities for students to receive academic and social emotional supports, tutoring, enrichment, and a free meal outside of regular school hours. Please e-mail Assistant Principal Hagerman for more details.

IB Ceremony, December 14, 10AM in the Media Center.

This week we steer towards our winter break by having a little school spirit and capping it off with a pep rally. Above are all of the themes for each day.

Seniors, tomorrow, Monday is the last day to get your cap and gown for $80 before the price increases. Do not hesitate to place that order. If you have questions on this process, please reach out to Ms. Hughes or Ms. Stafford at the school. You will need to use the Herff Jones’ website by clicking on this link . Please make sure you take care of your cap and gown ordering quickly. Here is the Senior timeline as of 10/25.
